Dayton Boat Club Novice Team

What is the Novice Team?

Our novice team is the first step into competitive rowing on the regional level.  Kids ages 12-18 can start on the Novice team without any prior rowing experience.  The DBC Novice team practices six days per week and will race against novice teams from other rowing clubs.  Rowers who compete at the Novice level in the spring, will transition to Varsity in the fall.
Team Mission Statement

Dayton Boat Club Junior Team is a competition-focused group with a dedication to inclusiveness. Individual responsibility and empowerment are the themes of our club culture.  We operate as a unified club with the U14, Novice and Varsity teams for boys and girls.
