Dayton Boat Club Novice Team

What is the Novice Team?
Our Novice Team is the first step into competitive rowing on the regional level.  Kids ages 14-18 can start on the Novice Team without any prior rowing experience.  USRowing allows rowers to compete on the novice level for only 1 calendar year, which makes it a very competitive division.  The Novice Team practices 5 days/week during the Fall season.
Team Mission Statement

Dayton Boat Club Junior Team is a competition-focused group with a dedication to inclusiveness.  Individual responsibility and empowerment is a theme of our club culture.  We operate as a unified club with both novice and varsity teams for boys and girls.  We currently have 110 junior rowers from 30 different local schools.
