What is the U14 Team?
Team Mission Statement
The U14 team gives 12-14 year olds interested in rowing a chance to get a jumpstart on their rowing careers.  This team will focus on the basics of rowing with special attention paid to establishing good technique.  Our 3-week session will give the kids a taste of what a rowing season is like and will hopefully build a desire to move to our competitive Novice Team in the future. 
​Dayton Boat Club Junior Team is a competition-focused group with a dedication to inclusiveness.  Individual responsibility and empowerment are the themes of our club culture.  We operate as a unified club with U14, novice and varsity teams for boys and girls.  Dayton Boat Club is part of Dayton Regional Rowing.

No rowing experience required!
Kids can start on the U14 team without previous rowing experience.  The coaches will teach them everything they need to know.  All U14 members must be able to swim prior to the start of practices.

U14 Spring 2020 Season Dues
$100 due by May 28 will cover all practice and coaching fees  as well as equipment use for 6 practices over our 3-week session.  Rowers will also receive a U14 team shirt as well.    ​
