What is the Novice Team?
Our Novice Team is the first step into competitive rowing on the regional level. Kids in 8th-12th grade start on the Novice Team without any prior rowing experience. USRowing allows rowers to compete on the novice level for only 1 calendar year, which makes it a very competitive division. The Novice Team practices 5 days/week during the Fall season.

Novice Fall Season Dues 2024
$500 due covers all practice and coaching fees as well as a team uniform shirt and USRowing Basic Racing Membership. Rowers are responsible for purchasing a pair of black spandex shorts and covering all personal travel costs. DBC has 1 fall fundraising event that everyone participates in. Certain medical conditions or diagnosis can preclude a minor from participating safely in rowing.
It is Datyon Boat Club's sole right to determine whether minors can participate safely in the sport at the Club.
