What is the U14 Racing Team?

The U14 Racing Team gives 7th-8th graders interested in rowing a chance to get a jumpstart on their rowing careers.  This team will focus on the basics of rowing with special attention paid to establishing good technique.  Our 6-week session will give the kids a taste of what a fall rowing season is like and will end with a race at the Speakmon Memorial Regatta in Columbus.  This experience is a good stepping stone toward membership on our competitive Novice Team in the future. 

No rowing experience required!

Kids can start on the U14 Racing Team without previous rowing experience.  The coaches will teach them everything they need to know.  All U14 Racing Team members must be able to swim prior to the start of practices.

U14 Fall 2021 Season Dues

$275 due by September 1 will cover all practice and coaching fees  as well as equipment use for 10-12 practices over our 7-week session.  Rowers will also receive a U14 team shirt.    We will cap the team at 24 kids and the team will likely fill quickly.
